Following its victory at the NCAA Championships, Yale University claimed the top spot in the final USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll.

California received all 25 first-place votes to top the final poll. Stanford University, Brown University, University of California and University of Washington rounded out the top five.
