The University of Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant Women’s Rowing Coach beginning August 2021. We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have a strong work ethic, excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills, and a desire to positively contribute to the success of a Division I women’s rowing program.

Responsibilities
Assist the coaching staff in all aspects of a Division I women’s rowing program, including but not limited to:
- coaching and supervision of student-athletes
- walk-on tryout process and development of selected walk-on athletes
- on-campus recruiting and communication with prospective student-athletes
- administrative duties such as coordination of team travel logistics, team events, awards, social media, etc.
- other duties as assigned
Terms of Employment
May serve as a graduate assistant for 2 years. Eligible for 3rd year if the graduate assistant successfully completes 24 semester hours during the initial 2-year period.
FULL TUITION AND STIPEND (HOUSING, FOOD, TRAVEL, and MISC.)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and necessary academic credentials for admittance to graduate degree program at The University of Alabama. Collegiate rowing or coxing experience required, coaching experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Basic understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
